Cleveland Alert was officially launched in 2019 as a rebrand of our former page, Cleveland and North Yorkshire Alert. After closely monitoring community engagement, we found a stronger, more consistent interest in updates specific to the Cleveland area, compared to the North Yorkshire region. While we continue to provide occasional coverage of incidents such as flooding in Whitby or snowfall on the North York Moors, our focus shifted to better serve the Cleveland community under the new name: Cleveland Alert.
